Help with a 2000 sport

Hello fellow explorer enthusiasts! I am having an issue with my sport, it is not starting and staying running. It will start but I have to constantly give it gas or else it will die. Sometimes it will fire right up and run fine, other times it will not stay running and I will have to let it sit and try later. Any help with troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the Idle Air Control Valve is sticking/broken.

Search the thread about it.
You can take it off and clean it, if it's dirty. Otherwise, you'll probably need a new one.

Thanks, I will look into that after work today. It is also doing something odd, it clicks like every ten seconds when I have the heat on. Its a pretty loud click, I can hear it with the windows up. It sounds like the click it makes when the AC is on and the compressor clicks.

I think the AC cycles on just about every setting except vent--
