Help with after market reciever

I am trying to hook up my mini-disc to my reciever without using the fm transmitters which sound horrible. Does anyone know if these will work even though i dont have factory radio.

I found these on CrutchField's website, do you think it is possible to hook it up with a non factory radio. Click here

I also found this for my sony reciever, but it is kinda pricey for what it does. Click here

The last thing I want to do is buy a new reciever. Please help with ideas!!

The second may work, although I'm not sure what Sony HU you have. It says you need a Unilink setup, which I think is for CD changer controls.

I found another AUX input, but it looks like the same type of product...It requires a Sony CD changer to be connected in order to work. I think you may be SOL for getting your Sony to get RCA inputs.

The Unilink connector works like a switch box for some of the older Sony Mobile ES (CD changers) equipment that offer a switchable aux input. Although I am unaware of what/if a Sony head unit is being used, for this to add anything to the system, the HU would have to have a selectable aux. input.

The description at the Crutchfield site says it all:

On the Sony changer controller head unit, press "SOURCE" repeatedly until "CD" is selected. Press "MODE" repeatedly until the device you want to listen to is selected. The head unit will cycle through each unit in the following order: CD1 (CD/MD changer) > CD2/AUX1 > CD3/AUX2 > CD4/USB. When CD1 is selected, the CD/MD changer will automatically start playing. When any other source is selected, playback of that unit will have to be manually started and the volume adjusted. As the volume settings of each connected device may differ, the volume of each device should be set to a similar level as the CD/MD changer.

well when i did look behind my reciever it said "Bus Audio" which i am guessing is where you put the cd changer, but for the price of that Aux adapter you could spend like a hundred more and get a new deck! Its crazy!

That is interesting how the sony device does act as a cd changer and alows you to change "cd's" so you can have several AUX inputs. I just wish i could get it to work!
