help with lifts

I have a 97 awd explorer and i want to lift it
can i put a 4wd lift on an awd or is there a difference

also i heard that when u lift a truck the drive shafts only last like 30k miles
why is this

i bekive it is the same(4wd-awd) as in the lift. How much lift are you looking for?

the shafts wont last long because of the extreme angles that are put on them. Just get new shafts on when you lift it, or shortly after.

The rear driveshaft will be fine - the front will need to be redesigned:
