A few weeks ago I was rear ended on the highway in my X. The body shop fixed my bumper and gave the truck an alignment. Later I realized that the driver and passenger seats are always now slightly more reclined than normal. I took off the plastic cover and inspected the mechanism and none of the teeth are stripped. Everything "looks" fine to me from what I can tell. Is there any adjustment to the seat? We did hit the seat backs pretty hard. This is not the normal problem of the broken lever because everything works properly its just that the most upright selection is still more reclined than normal.
I know I could take it back to the body shop but the insurance company are being real jerks about the whole thing so id rather avoid that.
Any ideas?

sorry I can n ot offer any thing but what I would do and that is take it back. yes they can be a real PITA! but letting then get away with it is also why they do it. the big cautch is you need to be happy with the truck and your not being it is not as it was . body shops know there are normaly some things that may not show up tell a bit later also but as long as you did not sign a full release to the point you can not take it back ( most unlikly by the way ) you have that right and I would do just that

You might want to have the front seat floor mounts checked. It sounds like they may have been malformed from the force of the impact.
