Ok, I've got two things I'd like to do. Well, really 1, but involves 2 reasons. I'd like to swap out my front seats for newer heated ones. Reason A) My driver's seat gets a lot of ass---mostly mine---and it's starting to look a little beat. Not THAT bad, but it's grey leather so it's starting to show the years. Reason B) Winters are way longer than summers here, and I'm tired of having a cold butt.

So, I need to know: Will newer heated seats fit on my existing tracks---or what range of years will fit my truck (it's a 95). AND is wiring in the heated part of the seat just simple wiring?

I've searched around and they aren't that expensive, so I'd like to do this before it's gets cold.

You have power leather now?
then the wiring is there already.

The tracks/seats will likely bolt right into your truck.....depending on the year of the donor.

Are you aware that there are aftermarket seat heaters you can add under your leather now? You can also get new leather factory style covers. :) just some options.

Yes, I have dual power/leather currently. I'm guessing that wiring in the new seats would just take some wiring mods. I've heard of these aftermarket heaters, but I'm kinda baffled as to how they work.....do you stitch them up into your seat or what?

Search for them online.
You will have to splice two wires for each seat if that, they may plug right in.

For the aftermarket heaters you would again splice into the power and ground that are already there, they have a little control switch that you can install in the side of your seat with your other switches.

Since the wiring harness on the "new" heated seats may be a little different than what I have now (since they weren't even available as an option in 95), is that what I'd do? Just splice the vehicles power supply for the seat into the new seat, and let the seats wiring do the rest? I'm guessing that the (heated) seat itself has only one power supply, and is pre-wired within itself to divvy up the juice between it's motors/controls/heater on it's own.

Is heated cloth even an option ?
Meaning I have cloth,
I want heat.
