I've never had the dealer ask for the advertised MRSP on any vehicles I've leased but then I've never had any plans or coupons either. A lease is no different than buying. You go in and discuss numbers and if you're happy with them, you take it. if not, you walk unless you have a non-refundable deposit. I've also been able to reduce the interest rate by a maximum of 1.5% by putting down multiple refundable security deposits. That money is returned at lease end.

Doesn’t the X plan reduce the MSRP?

I don't know the full aspects of a lease but I can tell you on Xplan, your dealer is making about $3,500 off of a sale if purchased right after delivery ($800 of that is what Ford pays the dealer for selling an Xplan to a customer). The lower you can get the vehicle, the lower the lease payment and the lower the buyout. You still want to get it as low as possible out the door.

One of the guys that was doing $500 over holdback has stopped doing it. He is honoring it for me but will not do it any longer. He had no idea how much foot traffic the ST is bringing him. His first one (dealer stock) was sold in less than 2 hours of it arriving.

Even at $500 over holdback, he is still making $2,000 off my purchase before any type of bonuses on the back end for sales volume.

i was unaware private cash offerings were able to be used on leases, i would've go an extra 1,250, on top of the 2,250 I was able to take off with RCL and my college discount

Xplan is about $100-$150 over Invoice. See my post above.

How do you qualify for X plan? You have to employed by some kind of an organization? My dealer told me. "There are no discounts".

Then find a different dealer.

Own 100 shares of ford stock or your employer is affiliated with Ford to get Xplan.

Got mine through my son in law. His father retired from Ford. They give out up to 10 per employee a year.

That is Z plan, not X plan.

That is Z plan, not X plan.
Z plan is for the Retiree, they can give out X-plan codes for "friends and neighbors." Other X-Plans are through Ford suppliers, such as the Ford Partner Recognition Program, or as you previously mentioned, Ford stock ownership. People who qualify for X-Plan through the Ford Supplier Program are not allowed to give out codes and are only allowed to purchase for their immediate household, I think the limit is 4 per year. I don't remember because I have only used it once. When we bought our MkC the dealer offered invoice right off the bat (there is no hold back on a Lincoln) to meet his volume incentive.

As can be seen from the pricing agreement, A/Z plan holders (current employees / retirees) can sponsor an X-plan. A/Z plans are much better than X. D is for dealer employees and is somewhere in between.

Xplan is 2 times a year.

Xplan can be given out to family members which is why I said Zplan (retired father in law etc). Wasnt thinking about him giving an X pin out.

D is just $100 over A/Z.

They told me X which is better?

AZ is better. It is invoice less holdback and you dont get charged the advertisement fee.

Like in Spaceballs the son-in-law's fathers brothers mothers uncle makes us absolutely nothing. A/Z is limited to direct familial relationships. So his daughter and son-in-law can use Z plan, but he can't because he is just a friend. Z also excludes cousins.

From the form:
Relationship to Sponsor*: (check one)
Self | Spouse | Parent | Grandparent | Brother/Sister | Son/Daughter
Grandchild | Same-Sex Domestic Partner | Aunt, Uncle (A/Z-Plan only) | Niece/Nephew (A/Z-Plan Only)
Friend/Neighbor (X-Plan Friends & Neighbors only) | Household Member (X-Plan Partner only)

NOTE: Cousins, Friends, Neighbors, and other Household Members Are Not Eligible for A, D or Z-Plan. Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews are not eligible for D-Plan.
* Ford Partner Recognition Program participants may only sponsor other people living in their household (proof required: customer must have same address as sponsor on their driver's license). Non-eligible members may appear as co-signers or co-makers of the loan or other financing agreement, and may also appear on the Vehicle Title or Registration. However, the primary user of the vehicle must be the AXZD-Plan eligible member.

It also comes down to a dealer risking being audited. I used Xplan for my mothers fusion.. she is remarried (different last name) and lives in a different state..

One of the dealers that ordered my ST will take Xplan pin for their Xplan commission check but selling to me below xplan price (that's a no no).

YMMV
