Ok, heres the deal. My liftgate latch rivets partially rusted off.
I took off the inside panel, propped open the outside panel, and drilled out the rivets.
The piece of the actual liftgate that the rivets go through to attach the handle is rusted through in several spots and in real bad condition.
Heres the problem: New liftgate: $875 Used: Unable to locate.
So I am looking for something that can be used to put in thier to reinforce the metal.
Any suggestions?
The only halfa$$ed answer I could come up with would be an old deadbolt plate for a door jam..........
