Problem:
Engine surges or races (feels like you have cruise control on!) Feels liek teh gas pedal gets stuck! It happens sometimes when I gun it and then it stays gunned! I have changed all my sensors IAC, TPS, Engine coolant....! It pulls no codes!

Things it does: Sometimes it is hard to start, and when it finally does it puffs like grey or white smoke for a couple of seconds!

What I think it may be:
Leaking injector - reason when engine is off gas pressure slowly drops to nearly zero( I already replaced fuel pump and filter!)

INPUT PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you checked the throttle cable? Make sure it's not sticking.

I'm thinking definitely a fuel injector. Have you tried to reset your computer?

throttle cable is perfect I even bought a new one for good measure along withevery sensor this motor has! And I even bought a new computer with no avail!!! If it is a leaking injector can I tell which one it is??? If it blowing that smoke and has a rough idle for a sec could that be all the fuel in a piston or something?? Main thing is can i tell what injector it is or could it just be an o-ring????????????????????????????

I beleive with a little work you can pull the manifold and fuel rail and stuff out and manually clean the injectors.

if I do should I replace all the little rings and gaskets that are around the injectors?? Actually what is around the injectors??? Are there seals and stuff?? ??????

You might have a leaking manifold gasket. Pull the 5 sparkplug see if it has oil on it. If it has oil need to replace the gasket or you might need to torque bolts. On the sticky pedal, have someone push pedal all the way and make sure butterfly hits the stop. Mine didnt and I put a spacer on the cable at the gas pedal. Now I have full throttle. This made it difficult to get it to down sift on hills.:bounce:

OK guys I am paying close attention to my truck! I noticed that when I start it I smell the smell of gas real strong out of my exhaust pipe for a few seconds after I start the truck! This morning it took 4 long cranks to start it. And when it starts it idles real low for a few seconds then it gradually idles up to a cold start.
