I am going to do my rocker panels below the door trim tomorrow, assuming it doesn't rain or anything. I am also going to do the corner of the door to hopefully prevent it from rusting out. I also want to do some of the door jamb but I don't know how much I will do.

i was at work one night and a first gen Dakota pulled up that was entirely painted in truck bed liner. everything, even the engine bay. it looked like he ran through a tar pit, it will NEVER rust though. unless it chips off.

thats awesome it would be really awsome never to worry about rust but if you painted it it might look sweet

we were talkin about this at work and we decided that someone needs to cover their truck entirely in duct tape. plain ol silver duct tape. how awesome would that be?

Yeah i thinks ilver duct tape would be stupid looking  Haha or do what this one car I saw one time did and covered his car with those sunoco stickers!

Did a similar treatment to my 1991 XLT last summer, it came out great and am very happy with it. Main reason for oding it was to prevent the rockers from rusting out which is a common problem for the X. Will post pics when I get a chance. I will say that I did have to touch it up a bit this summer where is had chipped, mainly around the doors where it gets the most wear. This job took me two full days ( I am very particular, prepping the surface and masking it off took all the time, painting on the liner was a breeze, I used two coats of liner...for the cold days) in slightly rainy conditions and working outside, could be done in a full day if temperatures are right and using a well lit, spacious garage.
