This is my 2002 Mercury Mountaineer Premier AWD V-8. I love this truck, it has done me good so far.

I haven't done much yet to it as you can see, I did however add a Westin Bull Bar to the front end last year which was tricky cause I had to cut the holes in the bumper for it. I added the KC driving lights to the bar which really make the road glow at night when I need them. Besides the bar, just added the rain guards to the windows and the bug deflector, and LOTS of wax. I wax this thing like its a 500,000 dollar truck. lol

Looks great - the black paint work certainly shows your waxing efforts.

Over here, what you call a bull bar, we call a nudge bar. I want to get one for our Explorer, but haven't seen one I liked, till I saw yours. Will have to see if they have a distributor in Oz!

Beautiful work of art!

It's very classy and elegant! Only one item, the KC seem to stand out just a bit on something that pretty of a vehicle. Are you okay with suggestions or are those lights staying put?

I'm always open for suggestions. The KC is just a cover that goes over the lights, I can always take that off.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

Perhaps if you added a sticker on the black bar/bumper(??) just below the licence plate, the KC would be more at home. The words on the sticker? "Sunshine band", of course, LOL.

Alright!

Because the front end is sooo clean and well organiized, you might want to put lights that don't steal away from that elegance. There are a number of, what I call, stealth lights the would sit in that same spot, but let your front end remain clean and visible. I went with PIAA, they're smaller, square lights that would blend in with your vehicle... and if they're painted black, you hardly notice them until they are on... and they have a chrome trim, barely noticeable, but would fit your vehicle perfectly.

Do you have a picture of those lights your talking about? Kinda interested in them by the sounds of them.

Now i have "thats the way uh huh uh huh I like it" playing over and over in my head.
How do i stop it? aaaaaargghhhhhh!

Those also look good, thanks for the pics. Your explorer is also a very clean looking SUV! nice work!

Thanks! But this is your thread, so I'll remove that post so you can show us the interior of your vehicle...

I used to have a bunch of Interior pics, but I have no idea where the ended up on my computer.

I have done no upgrades what so ever with the Interior, its as stock as the day it came off the dealers lot. Its power everything, leather, sun roof, heated seats, auto temp control, etc... Its pretty much the same as every other 02 Mountaineer premier Interior that is on the road.

Ford SUV's and trucks have proven themselfs to me over the years, they seam to be very well put together, there looks are very good, and they seem to hold up well on the Construction sites I go on since I am in Construction.

I have to wash this SUV every single Saturday because in reality, You can barley see any black paint by the time the weeks over from all the mud that is on it from the jobs. It takes me forever to wash it though because I am very careful how I wash it to avoid swirl marks.

I have only been stuck 1 time out of the 3 years I have owned this Mountaineer, that was in a 3 foot snow bank from snow plows that have pushed it at the end of our driveway which I thought I could plow through, but didn't have enough throttle on and got stuck going through it. Other then that, its been a very good SUV and would buy another in a heart beat

No problem...

It's the pics! Doesn't matter if it's stock, mine is the same (except the stereo). I have no intention of changing my interior's appearance... But yours is like looking at a really nice house from the outside only... hook us up!:D

Once the lighting is finished on mine tmrw, I can finish the garage... Have you gone through the Members Rides section?

looks great brother... that black paint is def in ship shape... still shinin:thumbsup:

looks awesome keep up the good work

That is a sharp truck
