hey all,

Well here i am getting ready to order my 3rd and hopefully last sytem for my car. I was thinking on getting an audiobahn sub and amp. Im thinking on getting a Audiobahn A8000T mono amp running one 12 inch Audiobahn AW1206T . I have done some searches on this forum on audiobahn and have heard some good and bad things about this brand. ive heard that there amps are great but there subs are not. Is this true? if so can i have some help on what i should spend my money on instead.

thank u super

well, thats a good sub. don't give it more than its rated rms though (their testing methods are quite dubious compared to some other manufacturers)

I wouldn't get that amp either though- it makes power, but your paying a bit extra for the bling and could get mroe power for the $.

However, if you want that style go for them.

well i can get the amp and sub 320 together. is 400 rms lower then whats required good enough.

yes, that would be a fine set-up for sure.

You'll be impressed with its output too

alright thank you. now im just worried about the sub blowing in 4 months or soo.

well, dont' drive the amp to clipping

either that or buy something else. mtx 9500 won't blow, lol.

lol ya your system has to be very loud. but if i had the money i pry would end up getting the 9500.

yea i actually bought the 1206t about 4 months ago and guess what? it blew, so i took it back got a replacement, and now im afraid to play it too loud, i was giving it the 1100 rms it supposedly could take too, so im sure that didnt help, but it sounded great while it lasted, lol, im definitely gonna start saving up for either a brahma or the mtx 9500, i have had mtx stuff and they have always been able to withstand torture, if your only gonna give it 400 watts rms, id think about this, get that sub and get a jbl 600 watt mono amp, a little more power and the amp u can get easily for around 175, if not less, just my 2 cents, hope it works out.

well when u had the audiobahns did it produce good bass and sound qouality. also the amp pushes 800 watts of rms so that should be better then 600 from the jbl.

yea i still have the one in there, i just dont turn it up very loud anymore, but it still sounds good at lower levels, when i had the box sealed, it was very good quality, but then when i got the new one i ported it and sounds so much louder and hits harder, but im gonna seal it back up and go for sq, until i can save up for a big spl sub

That is what I heard about audiobahn lasts for about 2-3 months then boom gone. Would never run that in any of my vehicle.

Tim

do any of you think i would be better off looking into another type of sub. i have a kicker comp right now (rated at up to 400 watts rms) hooked too a 800 watt kenwood amp. it was birdged and now it runs threw only one channel of the amp (230 watts rms) and still hits hard but when turned up alot i begin to smell something burning and i dont need to blow another sub and replace that one again, so im looking into soemthing that can handle alot more power.
