Been on the forum for 3 mins and already found some helpful information. Hope yall dont mind me makin home here for a little while. heres some info
I just got a 95 Explorer Sport... its not in my driveway yet, but the title has been signed, plan on getting it tommorow. Ive always been on a 4 wheeler and hit some retty hard core stuff, so im not new to the offroad scene... but i am new at doing it in a vehicle. I chose the explorer for its dual purpose capability... STOCK it can hit mild trails and get back on the highway without any troubles... and i chose it for its creature comforts that the lower dollar Jeeps dont offer. My first car was a 1995 Mustang... BASE package. Power NOTHING except lights and windsheild wipers. I had a wreck yesterday, but thankfully this deal was already in the making. I Traded my 4 wheeler to this explorer straight up. The explorer has 153,000 miles on it.. not good, but better than a car with 136,000. Ive been trying to google the 4wd system of the explorer so i know how itll handle. I knew how my Grizzly 660 handled in 2wd, 4wd ltd slip, and diff lock... now im trying to figure out how this explorer is set up. Im comming off the blacktop and into the mud... and i need some good ol boys to show me the right direction to take.
Nice forum... hopin to talk to a lot of ppl on here about my new old vehicle.
