Hi Beam/ Low Beam

I used to have a 94 explorer sport. In it, I put a wiring kit that allowed the low and high beams to come on at the same time when the hi beams were switched on. I want to install on my 97 sport but I can't find that wiring kit anymore. I bought it at a truck store 2500 miles away from where I live now. Does anyone know where I can find this kit online? It sure would help with the Elk and Buffalo dodging here in Jackson Hole.

There is a KC Quad-beam kit that is usually used if you have seperate high & low bulbs.(9005/9006) I dont know why you couldnt make it work for a double filiment bulb (9007) also. I would think that it would burm out the bulb a lot sooner due to the additional heat. How did your old (9004) bulbs last? I know that the H4 bulbs keep both filiments lit on high beams and they seem to last OK. Let us know how you come out. http://www.desertrat.com/kc_hilites/kc_accessories.htm

Hi Beam/low Beam

THANKS, AS FAR AS HOW LONG THE BULBS LASTED WITH THE MODIFICATION, I DID NOT REALLY NOTICE A DIFFERENCE. WITH AS MUCH AIR SPACE IN THE LIGHT, I NEVER EVEN NOTICED A HEATING UP PROBLEM. I DID NOTICE A DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENT IN NIGHT DRIVING VISABILITY. THE MOD SHOULD ONLY COST AROUND $20 AND IT TAKES NO TIME AT ALL TO INSTALL. TPIT

H4 Bulb

Whats a H4 bulb? Who make them? Where can I get some for my 97x? So you are telling me there is a bulb that keeps both low and hi on when in hi-beam mode, and I won't have to buy the wiring kit? tp

The H4 bulb will not fit your truck as a replacement bulb.
