Hi! Help! With alarm

Hi all! I just bought a 2010 Explorer. The previous owner has done something to the alarm. When I hit the red button, the only thing that happens is the hazard lights flash. I live in an area that needs an alarm. How do I fix this?

Well if the horn does not work the alarm will not sound. so first check for a blown fuse then check the connections to the horn for corrosion. if that does not work then the horn is probably bad and will have to be replaced.
