Ok for starters i have BMW projectors fitted into a set of explorer clear headlights. The current kit is an 8k kit. Ive been looking at lower temp kits for better lighting, what temp should i go with for the best lighting. Ive been looking at 5k but im really not sure.

4300 is what is in all OEM headlights and is in mine. I had 5K and even though it doesnt sound like much difference the 4300 are noticiably better. Mainly because the 5K are bluer and that blue light rain fades and is harder for your eyes to pick up. Especially older eyes like mine.
Note: this is on my car not the Mtneer.

I personally think the 4300 are the best, and plan to do a retrofit myself soon. (saying that I like the 4300 is from experience on another car, not my X)

I personally did the retrofit to my headlights so I could get

1)Blue color
2)Not blind other drivers
3)Get the most lighting I can

I love my 8k bulbs in my bmw retrofits. For the best light, however, I have used the stock 4300k bulbs that came with my kit. These lights have a halogen looks to them tho. For the best of both worlds, I would go 6k
