Hid Lights\best Lights??

I have a 2000 Explorer. I hate the stock lights, I've used hella 80/100 bulbs and it just isn't enough. What other options do I have? Any one make HID lights?

I'd Rather not I was hoping to install one of the HID units or perhaps some sort of projector headlight. Does anybody know of any?

No projectors available unless you retro fit a projector light into your headlight housing. Search for posts by huskyfan 23.
Search ebay for hid 9007. Plenty to choose from there. You probably would want a 4300 to 5000 K set.

I have a set of projectors from a BMW X5 along with HID's from an M5 that I plan on soon retrofitting into my headlights. Should be a fun project.

i see that your looking for HIDs. I am going to eventually order these HIDs for my X. I am going to go with the 8000k or 6000k but more towards the 8000k HIDs.

I believe the 8000k HIDs I wanna get on www.ultrabrightlights.com they are charging 370 i am not sure.

I wouldn't go for anything that doesn't have Hella, Philips, Osram, or Bosch ballasts. Everything else is junk. The same goes for bulbs.

And bulbs as high as 8000k are crap too.. why the hell would you spend that amount of money for less light output? If you really want blue lights, just buy blue bulbs.. but if you want real HID, stay around 4300k.

Husky fan are u saying that I should look for a kit manufactured by those companies, because everything else will short out eventually if you are I will take heed to this advice. I want to only deal with this once.

Other companies aren't guaranteed to burn out quicker, but are of worse quality. The companies I listed manufacture ballasts and bulbs for OEM kits.

Your probably going to spend twice as much ($500.+) for the name brand ballast & bulbs. I bought a $300 or so Ebay kit a couple of years ago and have had no problems although I did buy some Phillips 4300K bulbs to replace the 6000K bulbs that came w/the kit. 4300K is deffinetly the way to go to get the most light.
So, everybody who buys the "cheap" kits doesnt have trouble but, the odds are somewhat greater.

Well on HIDForum many people had problems with the noname kits. My ballasts on bulbs from eBay cost ~$300, Philips bulbs and Hella ballasts.

I can get a pair of HiD lights for $270 from this guy around here. They come as a full kit. Two of my friends have this kit from the guy who sells em and they are sweet! Is this like really good price for hids?

It's alright, but if it's noname it's a rip. Make sure you aim the lights properly or you'll get ticketed.
