So I already did a quick search but I didn't pull any results. Today I installed some Xenarc 8000k HID's and I am not totally happy with the way it turned out. They work perfect and were very easy to install, but in my opinion they are too blue.

So here's the question; Can I order some 6000k bulbs and use the ballasts that I already have installed? (probably a dumb question)

Shouldn't be a problem. I think the plug between the ballast and bulb is becoming a standard.

Well I would order them from the same company, so I assume they would be the same. But I don't want to assume and then be wrong haha.

yes you can!
Too blue? I'm currently using 10,000k and i think it's not blue enough! LOL

The color is also a little different if you have 35watt vs 55watt ballast.

I prefer 6000K, I think you'll be happy with them over the 8000k if you think they're too blue. You'll get more light... it's like a pure white with a hint of blue. And yes, all the connectors are a standard now.

I too went from 8000k to 6000k.

My 8ks were so blue

yeah, I was really surprised at the difference of pictures online and in person. Also, I am running the 35w kit. I just ordered a set of 6000K bulbs. I wanna see how those look before I purchase the matching fogs too.

Here are some pics of the 8000k:
