Hidden Wire in Center Console

What is the best way to tap into that? Can one order the rest of the harness and power port from ford??

I just cut off the plug and tapped on the wire.. nothing wrong with that!

Im lost please help

So I finally got a picture of the hidden wire. Here is the picture with the orange connector no connected to anything, since im not sure what its for but would like to know.

Ok, so i was messing around in my explorers console and I found this connector (orange) and the cigarette lighter connector (grey), but for some reason they seemed to be miss wired. There are two sets of two wires, one is brown/pink and a ground wire, the other set is blue/white and a ground wire. Now this is where it gets weird, the blue/white wire and the ground wire of the opposite set were in the grey connector, while the brown/pink wire and the opposite ground wire were in the orange connector.


I fixed this mess but for some reason i cannot get power from the brown/pink wire, even if the ignition is on. I've checked the fuses and even tried to track down where the brown/pink wire goes, but I've had no luck in finding it. Any advice?

Are you talking about the connectors for the Power Point & Cigarette Lighter?

• For the Power Points the Brown/Pink Wire is Hot
• For the Cigarette Lighter the Light Blue/White wire is hot
• For All Three the Black wire is ground

What is the problem you are having?

i too would like another power point up front. Does anyone have a pic of the "smokers group" in the vehicle?
