High Beams quit working. They do not even work momentary when pulling the lever towards yourself. The blue light "High Beam" icon on the dashboard does not come on in any case.

Both High beams quit working at the exact same time, no blue icon, and no momentary High Beams leads to me thinking it is the multi swith.

I think that my Multi Switch is worn out.
Is there a way to test the multi switch, or jumper it, to verify that the multi switch is definately bad?

I checked all of my fuses, and they are good. There is no relay for the headlamps, I assume from reading many articles in this forum. I even checked the relays under the air filter (by swapping with a new relay), and that appears to do nothing.

---------
Do not I have auto lamps, if I do then they have been broke since I owned the car. Just for kicks, where exactly are the "other relays" located under the dashboard? If I have to remove anything, I don't want to start something (in the wrong place) that I can't finish or button up in one day.
---------

Any help is deeply appreciated. Thanks

hey let me know if you hear anything, i have this same problem on my 2001 explorer xls. I replaced the multi switch today and still no luck...

Go back and check the connector for the multiswitch; sometimes wires pull out of the back of it.

How is there no relay for the headlights? Ive never looked for one in my explorer, but that just doesnt make sense???
