I had a dead battery. Got a new one. Car starts right up. Cool. But why did the battery go dead in the first place.

I checked the current drain, 8 Amps! I pulled each fuse and relay, still 8 Amps.
I disconnected the Alternator, still 8A.

The alternator is good I get 13.5V when the engine is running.

Anybody have a clue what would draw 8 amps when the car is off.

are you sure your interior lights are not on and hood lamp when tested?

did you remove the under hood fuses also? Sooner or later you should hit the problem unless you have a corroded wire etc.
