High Idel

Hello all-

I have an extreme idle problem on my 90 sport with OHV.
Yesterday my truck started to idle at 2500-3000 RPM put it in drive and it goes to about 1500. Also as soon as you let off the break the truck beings to take off to a nice 25 MPH all by it's self. I did a search on HIGH IDLE and came up with the IAC. Before going out and buying this I wanted to see what everyone else thinks!

I think you pegged it. I would try removing the IAC valve and cleaning it out before buying a new one.

With the engine running unplug the IAC. If the engine continues to run at the same RPM there's your trouble. It should die or stumble really bad.
