what high powered alternator are u guys runnin and were did u get them from.. direct bolt on would be better.. dont feel like modifying anything!!!

i have 3 jl 10w6's a kenwood 1000 mono bridgeable amp and a stinger cap, a blue top battery that i got from the interstate guy from work for 40 bucks...brand new!!!!!!

i plan on running those 3 subs and adding 2 more 10 or 12" w7 by jl and 3 1000 watt amps by them also

so i need a crazy good alternator
i will be throwin 2 yellow tops directly to the subs
but this will be at a later date

:troops: :salute:

iraggi ftw

yea but i read ur post and ur havin trouble with urs whining and makin wierd ass noises!!!!
i dont want those problems with lookin for different belts

are you saying you want to add two more different subs later? If so I wouldn't do it, read up on things some more. Having different subs running like that can cause cancellation and whatnot or just not sound right.

lol the alternator doesn't make any noises. the belt squealed because it was too loose. the pulley on an iraggi is 1/2 inch smaller in diameter than stock. its like this so that it spins faster and does 175 amps at idle, 240 at full output which comes about 1800 rpm. in other words i can sit stopped and have 20 percent more output than the stock alt at full output.

also, it no longer squeals, i put a few washers under the alternater to raise it up. i get no dimming, and only the slightest voltage drop if i wang it full tilt with the truck stopped, with over 3000 watts rms.

take that cap, and either sell it to someone who doesn't know any better, videotape yourself blowing it up, or just throw it in the trash. don't even think about running w7's with your w6's, and ditch the 1000 watt (more than likely max power) kenwood. instead of wasting 1500-2000 dollars on 3 jl 1000/1's that will suck crazy amounts of current, buy one amp that does 3kw, takes up 1/2 the space, less current, and costs 1/4-1/3 what the jl's will.
