i have a 98 eb explorer with the chrome bumper. i am going to use this to tow my jet ski about 100 yards to the boat launch about twice every year and was wondering if there was anything that you use to put between the ball and the bumper. i know that if i crank down on the ball i will marr the bumper pretty good so i would like to avoid that. any suggestions would be helpful
thanks

i had a ball on there once and towed an old 70s car with it.. removed it afterwards and it was fine.. just dont overcrank it u know.. u also have that plastic piece that covers the hole once uve removed the ball.. just put that back on when ur done.

Go to your local Home Depot and purchase a copper washer with a hole to correspond to your ball. When placed betwee the ball and the top of the bumper, there will be no marring of the surface due to the softness of the copper.
