I am in the middle of a clutch replacement, and have the truck already up on ramps. I found out that in order to pull my oil pan (which has a leak) that i will need to lift the engine a few inches to get the clearance to remove the pan. i figure that since my transmission is on the ground, I might as well clean the oil pan and put a new oil pump in. Is is necessary to get the truck level before i lift the engine, or i am in a world of hurt if i try to lift as-is?
