Hole in air con pipe

Hi

Looked under the ex and saw a dark stain on drive. Checked it over and heard a hissing noise and discovered a big hole in an air con pipe where it had been rubbing with another pipe. Can pipes be replaced or does the whole thing have to be changed? It is the pipe that goes into big box thing on the bulkhead. photo later as battery camera just went!!!!!

Will it harm anything if there is no gas in the system? If it will cost hundreds I just may open the window!

It is the aluminium pipe. The hole is just below the ring washer below the join with the plastic bit on. The pipe goes into the bottom of the black box thing on the bulkhead.

you can get one from chriss, im sure it uses the quick release keys to remove that pipe
