Okay!!! I have a 10 gauge wire running from my battery to my amp..which is in the back of my X....is their a way to get power from my 10 gauge power cable to my neons under my dash and backs seats?..and my black light on the ceiling... or do i have to run a new cable from my battery to my neons??

Is their enough power to run my neons..and my amp at the same time..it's a 300 watt amp V12 from Alpine... and i might add another 300 watt amp soon...how much power runs threw that power cable??? anybody...help???

and if their is a way!!! what do i do and what do i need...ex..fuses...fuse boxs...how big.??..what kind...??

i want to be able to add more neons in the near future..

Thanks

heres what you do

You probably "COuld" ... COULD, do it that way, however you could save yourself the hassle and headaches of it not working or problems that may arise from doing it that way by doing this.........

1. go to your local wal mart, or equilvant store. and get some or say 16 gauge wire.....buy a couple packs they are priced @ about 3 for 20 feet...i think , not sure...its cheap i know that. while your there buy yourself a simple switch.

2. run power from the battery to the switch.. then to your neons. gound them and your done. No fuss no muss.

thats what i'd do at least....it seems like it may be a little more work, but i was taught, take a little more time to do something the first time, then you won't have to do it again.

Sorry it isn't 10 gauge wire....it's 4 gauge wire....running from my battery to my amp...but anyways it's getting hooked up tomorrow... and i'm running a new wire from my battery to my neons and black light...

Run a separate power wire for the neons it will keep the amp line a little cleaner.

Fuse the line with the appropreate fuse size; as close to the power source as possible.
If you are running the wire from the battery, fuse at the battery if you can, that way if the lights short out and the fuse blows then the power is stopped at the battery; not inside the vehicle.
