I compiled a excel spread sheet from various sources from this board an other boards to get an idea of the price. Its new and used parts. Looking at the price I would probably use more used stuff to cut cost considerably. The cost of coilovers is very high! Labor/custom fabrication isnt factored in yet and Im sure im missing alot more stuff or have something listed wrong.

You forgot to add the 2 rear axle shafts for the 8.8 that needs to be replaced because they have to now be 5 on 5.5" lug bolts to match the front D44. I think it's $300.00 each.

Ray, he was going with the adapters instead of the axles.
5on5.5 Wheel adapter x2 M.O.R.E $99.00 Custom

That is one EXPENSIVE SAS!!! Nice, but $$$$.

Yea man I plan to cut the price down alot with a different revision sheet with more used stuff. Some of the stuff cost waaaaaay too much.

used price sheet?

soupbone, got the update w/ used $$'s??

Hmmmmm.

Why not use an old bronco front axle. (i know then your on differnt bolt pattern then)

EB D44s are low pinion. The author of the list is going for a high pinion D44.

IMO (worth about $.02)

If you are running a 78-79 Ford D44 axle, they already have disc brakes so you wouldn't need the chevy spindles and knuckles. You can get Flat top adapters from eBay for $99. I just built an axle almost like this for my father-in-law's Bronco II.

You could save a lot of money by deleting that $200 diff cover and getting a rock guard for around $50. This should cut at least $800 off your bill. I'd seriously consider running a coil spring/radius arm setup before I'd go coil-over. The same amount of travel can be achieved with leaf springs and with the James Duff 3.5" long travel coil setup.
