How about a trail ride at Windrock in Oliver Springs, Tenn.

I want to do some rough stuff but ive never been up there. You probably have to show me around. My friends also running 31's on his stock wrangler so he might be more interested. Me and a couple friends might split money and get a hotel room. Are u sure there is no where to camp on the trails. Nissanboy posted those threads originally and i talked to him and i was going to camp with him. Were still going to "coal creek" right? Do u have any pics of the X. THe rear locker is going in this weekend and theres a possibility i might be locked in the front before igo.

You can camp in the parking lot and also some of the trails. Sighns say no camping but people do. You will have to get a permit to trail ride, $10 a day. What I was saying is they have no common bath facilities like some campgrounds. I will try and get a digital picture of mine. It actually looks just like yours, red with black bumpers and the bottom is black. Black wheels with 33's. As far as rough stuff we can try some of them, those that don't want to try can go around.

Hey Guys, Just to jump on the band wagon for this ride. Completed my body lift (2 inch) and now running 32's (Those came off N2Ford) I'm still open in the gear boxes so I'll be the one waving and taking pictures while you "Big Boys" go through the tough stuff. I'm looking forward to the ride.

I will bring my vid camera if u want to video tape me and everyone. I got lots of tape and batteries.

ohh also n2ford i will probably stay in a hotel friday night. I u could find some info on one with cheap rates it would be greatly appreciated, Thanks Matt

I'd be happy to run some video. There are alot of motels in the area. I will also put a list together. Kingston, Harriman are not that far away from Windrock and have lots of places and price ranges.

Days Inn and a Family Inn are just down the street from me. If you check web sites it would be Kingston,Tn on Gallaher Road. Both should be inexpensive. From those places we can shoot right down to meet the jeep guy for breakfast in Oak Ridge. Planning on going tommorrow after church to scout trails.

sounds good!

I actually read through earlier posts... Are we all still going to meet for supper/planning on Friday? If so, I'm in. Also I'm talking with a guy that has been hanging aroung a jeep club. I don't think he has joined, that's why I say it that way. Anyway, he is acting interested about going and will spread the word. They all live close by so they still have plenty of time to plan. I'll report back on them hopefully tomorrow.

I would like to meet on Friday night if anyone else wants to. We had a good time today and stayed fairly dry. I think I have a pretty good plan in mind for the ride. Sounds like 5-6 trucks going?

I got the rear locker in and it will be cool to really test it out up there.

Great to hear that you got your locker in. If you want to test it.... there is trail 7 that we'll pass. That would be a good one. Its in a place that is a good for spectators too (that will be me for one). We've seen other folks going up and they needed four wheels pulling.

I also have two more Jeeps coming. I hope this hasn't created a traffic jam.

I'm all for the Friday evening thing. I think that will be fun. David, I have a couple more laminated maps and will try to put together a couple more. I think they are way better than the ones there. I had to find another source for the map. The Windrock site removed their map so they can charge for it.

I'm looking forward to meeting the out of towners.

Matt, Have you made a decision on where you are staying? Is you jeep friend coming? When I was at windrock Sunday I saw a sign for windrock campground. We went down the road to see what it was, it is a new campground with porta potties and water valves coming up out of the ground every so often. Nobody was staying there, not sure it was open yet. Check it out at windrockcampground.com.

N2ford-Im still figuring that out. I honestly dont know my way around up there. My friend with the heep and 31's cant go. I might get another friend with heep with 6'' and 32's. I might sleep in the parking lot in my truck if i go up there my self.So u just take I-40 all the way up to knoxville and get off at exit 356.

goatman-yeah i tested it last night really good. I love it!I will only be spinning 3 wheels on trail 7(open up front). Im ready to show up some jeeps!Yeah i will meet up friday, i just need to find my way there. Where we eating!

Exit 356 is where I live, the fastest way to windrock from the west is exit 347. It is probably 15-20 miles north of I-40. If you just want to sleep in your explorer or pitch a tent, you can stay at my house. We can meet and eat at exit 347. There are several places to eat at that exit. I hope all this rain goes away!!!!

How about Shoney's? We could get off in a corner and not have to worry about bothering folks if we get to cutting up a little. What do y'all think?

Sounds good to me, it will be less crowded than some of the others.

Do u want to meet at shoneys for dinner or breakfast?I hopefully will have one other vechicle coming with me and 3 or 4 people including me. If my friend does come with me i think im going to go to windrock and find some trails to camp on. If i just drive up there by myself(hopefully not) i will take up your offer and sleep in my truck at your house. 6 more days! cant wait, Matt. O, and another thing if any of you guys are interested in going to monteagle april 9 and 10th i belive im going up there then with a landrover buddy.

Matt

Maybe Shoneys in Harriman on friday night and breakfast saturday morning in Oak Ridge. I would like to go to Monteagle sometime, don't know about april, I will check. I ordered the "Ultimate Adventure" dvd that has footage from Monteagle.

How early do u have to register? How much was it? Im planning on coming up there on those dates. Hope to see you up there!

As of this evening, the weather is looking great for Saturday. Sunny and low 70's :D . I'm hoping that forecast holds. Wouldn't it be awsome? That kind of weather should put the mud holes not too deep. The creeks will be nice and clear. Makes for good pictures. Seeing the talk about Monteagle... I'd also like to make that run sometime... Don't know if I can this time.
Been working on radius arm bushings. My choice, remove the rivets and remove the brackets. Trying to move the front end forward wasn't working.

See Y'all Friday..
