I sure HOPE I'm going for sure, otherwise I have already towed my X from Tucson to Phoenix for no reason.
I had to tow it since I don't have my license yet. My dad wanted to drive it for a few days anyway while he gets his painted and a new windshield put in.
Some pics I took when we stopped at the Pilot gas station.
The handling was surprisingly good at 80mph, but it wasn't my idea to go that fast. (I wasn't driving)
No explorer for me yet i have been working really hard trying to sell my truck thought it was sold this past weekend and i would have had the explorer this week but that feel through but id be more then willing to meet yall up there and if some one has room ride along with yall just let me know if anyone has the room for a ride along

Yes my dad will be there. Also, the people I previously mentioned will not be bringing another vehicle but they may tag along in my car.
Ridge, where in Phoenix are you located? I may be able to bring you as close as the bottom of the run where we are going to meet. This is not definite though. It depends on the other people I am bringing. If I can't get you to the meeting place, I may be able to get you to the marina if someone else who is going can meet up there so you can ride with them.
I'm still up for going.. Worst case, if the trail is wet, and stockers are having problems, we can turn around.. its not like we "have to" go all the way to Crown King..
I just want to make sure someone else is going before I drive the 100 miles tonight and 30 or so miles tomorrow.
K.. then I'm leaving work in 30 mins or so to start heading to Phx.. (at 60mph its gonna take a bit).. I will have email access and access to here through my cellphone.. it'll just be slow.
If anyone else is going, please chime in..
Rick, R u still a posibility? (I'm assuming your not going to come out if its raining in the morning)..
Me and my dad, and Maniak and his brother made it. I don't know what happened with Rick. I guess he passed up a great trip because of a little sprinkle in the early morning. We waited almost an hour past the scheduled time for him but he never showed. Lots of pictures and video were taken. Maniak said it would be about a week before they will be posted.
We didn't have too much trouble on the run. Maniak's front right spring popped out of place 3 different times. I popped the bead and put a giant hole in the side of one of my tires when I slipped off a railroad tie while climbing the hardest obstacle on the run. I had 2 spares just-in-case something like that happened. Maniak got stuck when he went off the main road onto a really hard obstacle (keep in mind that the first half of the run is only as hard as you want it to be) I went down the top side of that obstacle and pulled him sideways a little using his tow strap on my bumper since I really didn't have any tow points on my rear. The little bit I moved him was just enough for him to get out the rest of the way on his own.
Overall it was a really fun trip and I can't wait to do it again! The capabilities of my fully stock Explorer really amaze me. I went on a couple of extra obstacles that I thought I would never be able to do, but my Explorer had almost no trouble at all doing them!
