With mine on 265/75/16's when Im doing 100KMH Im actually doing 107KMH.

very nice, what kind of tires are those in the last picture. also what is a bigger tire a 265/75/16? or a 31/10.50/15 i have the option of keeping the stock rims or getting some 15" rims. also i want to get this right the 265/75/16 is equivalent to a 32" tire? i called several tire/rim shops and they assured me that i could not fit a 32" tire on my 2002 explorer with out lifting it or modifying it. what should i do?
thanks

I don't think you can go with 15s. I believe it's something with the brakes

Mine are Kumho M/T.

Yes a 265/75/R16 is a 32 in tire. 31.9 to be exact (I believe :p:)

I assure you the tire shops are wrong.
My mechanic thought I was nuts too.
I told him to mount them and I'll prove it. 1 hour later I got the call.
I was right. I gained 2 in of clearance.

FYI: You can also fit a 265 where the Spare goes.

What to do?...Keep the stock rims, and BUY the tires. Get a mechanic to mount them. Most "Big" chains such as Walmart, Costco and like the like will refuse to do the job.

wow haha thanx for helping out by posting links to my pics... i appreesh

and a 265/75/16 goes like this to go from metric to inches (its around 31.6inches)
265 X .75 = 198.75 (this is the width times the aspect ratio)
198.75 X .03937 = 7.82 (metric to inches; this is the height from the top of the rim to the top of the tire)
7.82 X 2 = 15.6 (to get it twice for top and bottom)
15.6 + 16 = 31.6 inches (top and bottom plus the rim equals wheel diameter)

u can use that method for finding any tire size... so that doesnt have much difference with the 15 inch rims and tires u suggested but i would stick with 16s... look better
