It looks like the first picture I think? Not the second cause mine has air con.

Those pics are identical 1st gen a/c heat controls. Both of them look like they have a/c to me.

On "off" there is still some air movement on mine.

The slider has to be on "max ac" with the knob on "off" to actually be off. Anything else and the fan is still blowing gently. That's how mine works.

Actually I think when you turn it to Max-ac and off, since the air is drawn in from the, uhh, cabin for lack of a better word, of your car... you feel no movement. On panel... the intake is switched to the outside... and I believe that air is forced in as you move.... at least I think that's how mine worked. See if the amount of air coming in on Panel+Off is perportinal to your speed... I think it oughtta be.

Here in Florida A/C=LIFE :D

hey, you're right. So is your 99 is like that, too?

Both have A/C. In the second pic, the control is covering the "MAX AC", and "OFF" positions. Look at the colored bar....It is different....which bar do you have? They are from different years...

Ouch, you seem suprised I'm right :(. J/k. No, my '99 Doesn't do that, but my old '92 did, and the suburban, well, lets just say it passes for hurrican simulation on the highway :D

Hey! I didn't notice that at first. My 94 has the broken line cool/hot bar. I wonder which years had which bars?

91-92 also had a single 02 sensor and a MAP sensor.

The Charcoal canister and cruise control canister also changed locations.

The 91-92 also has the smaller powerdistribution box under the hood, with the realys mounted underneath, the 93+ have the larger box.

The 91-92 also had vibration dampers mounted on the drivers side motor mount

FYI the EB tan color changes shades every year, not just 91-92 and 93+, every year is different (trust me I have a 88 BII with a 90 BII interior with 97 mocha seats, all from EB trucks, try matching the paint is no fun....

No who knows what Ford did because I have seen a 90 BII with a D35 and a 7.5 rear with a MAS 2.9L under the hood and a single cup holder center console....so anything is possible......

The (IMO, better looking bar) solid bar one is 91-92. the broken one is 93-94.

The grey interior colors also changed year to year....I was talking about the exterior rocker tan before.

I have the first picture for sure but when the knob it turned to the off position there isn't any air moving and the motor isn't still running no matter where the slider is as you stated earlier.

Well, interior wise, the following changed in these years:

91-92 has black heater vents, 93-94 has colored ones.

Liftgate had vents added in 93.

My 93 Sport has black heater vents and blue interior. I have also a 94 XLT blue interior and I haven't seen vents in either liftgate. It has cheap blue vinyl seats and no center console. The XLT looks like a base model but with same deer hoof rims as my 93 and it has a cheaper chrome luggage rack. Otherwise it has no power features at all I hate it.

Crankcase!

We were talking about my front seat before and you were confused. I have the 60 40 with the flip down armrest like in that diagram gack there. I also have the blue interior and kinda like it!

------

I`m going to bring us back outside with an observation that I haven`t quite confirmed yet, and it is bugging me. I`m going to drive off the road soon trying to pick it out!

This is only on the 91-94s of course, but I`ve noticed that on some, the beams on either side of the rear window are painted black and others match the body color(like mine). I seem to have found that XLs will match the body color and XLTs will be black. Most of the Ex`s I see are either XLs or XLTs, and of the dozen or so I`ve examined so far, my theory has proven true.

This doesn`t extend past the 94 year though, I`ve seen some 2nd gen XLs with black beams.

Whaddya think?
