Hey people!

I picked up a Surco Safari Roof Rack and another set of Westin Aux lights to stick on top of my truck. I will be running a 4 prong trailer hitch switch so it will be easy to remove the rack and lights if necesary, but my question is how should I run the wires into the cab?

I already have another aux. light switch installed and I plan to hook the lights up to that as it already has a link through the fire wall, but my question is about the roof. Did you guys drill into the your roof into the cab to get the wires through, or just run it along the door hinge?

Any pictures or advice would be appriciated,
J.B.

holiday bump.

i have mostly seen pics of people running the wires through the top of the door jam and behind the weather stripping. other options are drilling a hole in the roof with a grommet and silicone up the hole or running the wires down the rack and through the back hatch. but the longer the run of wire the heavier the gauge it needs to be

i ran my wiring like mentioned, down the weatherstripping on the door jamb than through a hole with a grommet down by the hinge
i also used a boat trailer flat 4 plug on it up by the lights so it could be removed if i needed to,,

Inside the rack tubes to the back hatch and then inside.

Thanks guys! If you got pics, I'd love to see them. I get the idea
