honestly i don't see a point in doing a burn out to "heat up" your tires unless you are running slicks. when i used to run at the track street tires just hold water in the treads and give you a worse traction. i would just go around the wet pad and take off with by pre-loading it. brake with one foot and give it enough gas to squat the rear or feel it pulling
in my old xlt with its crappy tires, all i had to do was floor it off the line, did it in a street race with a dodge dakota (take a stab at who won, hit: it was a ford) and did a nice steady burn out for like 5 seconds before any traction.![]()
