What banners, did I miss something?

TDavis posted a note in the Announcements and Feedback section under Front Page News: Things We Know Aren't Working about setting up ad banners. Maybe he's working on something else. Really sorry if I got it wrong.

Looks and works great Rick! Not looking forward to the ad banners though. No spyware stuff though, right?

The ad banners are from sponsers of the site, and they have *NO* adware, *NO* popups, or anything obnoxious.

They appear just below the top filmstrip, to the left.

Please support these sponsers who support this site by buying stuff from them, and mentioning that you saw it here on Explorerforum.com.

The banners are working now, and see, you didn't even notice!

Yes use the post button. There is one at the top and one at the bottom of the listing of threads.

I think he is talking about the boxes that appear to show the first post when you run your mouse over the threads.

Its not a bug, its a feature!

Also, the ads have always been there.

I've been having a problem with the font, size & color buttons when posting. Unless I click and hold down the mouse button for about a second, it won't take the fonts, colors etc.....anyone else notice this? I also seem to have occasions when I click on a Smilie, it just doesn't take, or when I click, it acts like a "top of page" command and flips the page to the top......

It's definitely a new feel... I've been traveling for a bit on business and this is the first time in a few weeks I've been able to get back here... more so that something here is triggering our firewall at work now so I can't do much from work anymore... odd and sucks.
That being said, there is a learning curve, but I guess I'm finding things... I miss the buttons on top that had 15 most current threads/posts... but maybe I'm not in the right section?
It's 5am, spent 3hrs at the airport last night, had a long day and I have to lead a kayak trip in this miserable weather... perhaps all pistons aren't firing at the moment to take all this in properly. I think I'll get another hours sleep and figure this out later.
The colorization is groovy though...

I just voted Excellent! Now that I see the front page of the forum, I really like it. Shows lots of info and shows the actual # of posts since last visit under my avatar. Nice job guys. Patience is a vitrue! There are other features thought were cool as well!

What's the deal with "guided mode" and enhanced mode"? I love the new first line popup. You can figure out what's in some of the threads with vague titles.

I'm happy with the new forum in general. I love some of the new features like changing my own Avatar and multiple attachments and such. I didn't put excellent, but that's probably more because I am not familiar enough with it yet... I'll probably want to change my vote in a week or two!

Guided mode closes the tags for you.....Enhanced lets you close individual tags at different times...
