my question is if the axle sits on top of the springs how would adding a leaf lift it. it seems to me it would push the axle upward therfore lowering it. can someone explain this to me
:salute:

Most add-a-leaf jobs are to stiffen up the rear end from worn and sagging springs. Putting the additional spring stiffens the entire "pack" and keeps the BODY/Frame from sagging.

It goes... hey gravity, ya'll dont pay mah bills... and gives the leaf spring some boost therefore lifting the vehicle up a bit.
