It's pretty simple and straight forward, just pay attention to the e-brake cable setup. A pair of these always makes the job go quicker, and I've taken a few people to the ER in the past who tried to get the springs back on and "slipped"

In addition to the specific tool TDG has posted, the other two tools in the pic will greatly ease your pain as well..lol. The red handled one will help to remove the smaller spring cups (2) per wheel, that hold on the shoe, and the black handled one will help you in reconnecting the larger springs that connect between both shoes. This one is adjustable. The little black end is threaded and tightens down on the spring without slipping. Seriously, you can do the brakes without these tools, but I highly recommend getting them for the job. Good luck.:D

....almost forgot, do one wheel at a time, that way you can refer to the other side for reassembly if you get confused.

thanks for the pointers fellas!

i unfortunately do not have those tools so I'm going to wing it. but thanks in advance for the help and I'll let you know how much pain i cause myself today ;)

brakes are done, took me a couple of hours due to my own stupidity. those tools would have madea WORLD of difference, but the fact that on the first side i worked on once i got all the one pad all hooked up, i realized i had it on the wrong side of the drum DOH!

the opposite side i had done in like 20-30 minutes tops, including jacking her up and taking the wheel off :)

Glad that everything worked out for you.:chug:
