I put Rancho RS5000's on my rig about 2.5 years ago (50k miles). The ride on my explorer is extremely harsh, just wondering if the shocks have worn out already???

Could be, but Rancho has a lifetime warrenty, so just exchange them for free.

rule of thumb is they last 60K miles,
Thats for a daily driver

If you ask me they show major signs of wear after about 35K, this is why the extra $$$ for Rancho's is worth it (or any shock with a lifetime warranty)

alot of it has to do with use and shock type.
