Hey guys got a 2003 Ford Explorer when I turn on my rear defroster I can hear it click on the defrost is working but how long
Does the defrost light suppose to stay on?
I noticed today as it rained and I turned it on
It was on longer then 10 minutes just found it out of the ordinary so I thought I ask.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks

As long as your rear window defroster turns off by itself after running, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I never timed mine to see how long it runs for, but it always turns itself off and I would have to say it runs for at least 10 minutes at a time. I don't know for certain, but I would imagine there is some kind of timer sensor built into it. As long as it works, I'm happy.

I'm not even 100% sure that it shuts off tho that's the problem the light is on after 10min driving

I just read the Ford owners manual it says it will shut off after 10minutes mine stays on longer then that I find that weird.

What can it be?

If your stereo isn't too loud, you should be able to hear a light audible 'click" when it shuts off, right at the dashboard switch for it. You should also hear a click when you turn it on as well.

Hey buddy yeah I heard it it's working good thanks man
