On my 2000 explorer 5.0 I only count 3 cats am I just not seeing one? Also if my front cat went bad but still have 2 rear ones will back pressure be ok also will it throw a code. Planning one reeming out front solo cat

Bank one primary cat is tucked up tight in the passenger side inner frame against the firewall, up kinda high. Bank 2 primary cat is under the transmission. anything you do to the primary cats will throw a code. You cannot hollow them out.
1 and 2 secondary cats are together under the passenger floor board. They are redundant and have no monitor sensor as the front cats do.
