about how much would it cost to get 4.10 gears and installation maybe at a local shop, i wanna run 33's or 35's and need a new set of gears (have 3.27's right now:( )

The easiest and cheapest thing to do would be to swap out the entire rear axle and the front pumpkin.

Call around to some junkyards looking for an Explorer 8.8" (95+ if you want discs) with 4.10s. Might even find one with a L/S unit.

See what they want for it. Most yards around here are between $300-$500. The lower for a non-disc and the more expensive for a disced.

Then see if they have a D35 pumpkin with 4.10s from a 91-94 Explorer or any 90-97 Ranger with a 4.0L.

I've found that this is a cheaper way to change gears because shops will RAPE you on labor.

I don't think you'll find a pumpkin from an older explorer with 4.10's - if memory serves me correctly, they only came with 3.73's - the ranger may be different though...
