yep thats about right

i paid 65 last friday

now that i look back probalby the best 65 bucks i ever spent.

remember to ask for your old spark plugs back.
you'd be suprised to see what kinda shape they are in

do it 60 is reasonable!

for $60, you will save:
Time
Beer
Scratches
Cussing
Blood
Knuckle Pain
More Cussing

by the time you are done, you will probably take it to shop to get them to get to a couple of them anyway.

Unless the $60 will break you, I would definately get them to do it!

thats my only problem the 60 dollars will just about break me had to spend the entire paycheck this week getting registered for high school thats crap.... 50.00 just to park trying to save money anyway possible now

My time is worth way more than their fee for this user-unfriendly task. Have it done....

my time isnt lol high school kid heck it would keep me out of trouble

You can probably go to sears and get a 3/8 flex ratchet, a couple of extensions and a spark plug socket for less than $60. Then you can do the job in the future as well. Also pick up a plug gap gauge. The plugs aren't that difficult to get to, a coule of them are easier from the bottom or through the wheelwell.

I did mine with a 2ft extension and a swivle and of course a ratchet. It took me about 2 hours to do. Im sure 2nd time around itll take me half the time.

noit sure how different our engine bay's are seeing mine is a 94 and yours a 96 did you change 3 from under the wheel well?

if 3 is the one in the back on the passenger side then yes.

DIYS

A good friend and I changed the plugs in about one hour. (two man hours if you count both of us working) Took a while b/c one of them was a major PITA. About 10 months later, I replced teh wires by myself in under an hour. Go ahead and do it yourself. It's worth learning.

just want to be sure i ave all the sockets and extenxions nessacary think ill give it a shot tomorrow

I say do it your self. You will learn how to work on your X this way. No offense to anyone but alot of people here do all kinds of car audio mods then wnat to pay some one to do plug and oil changes.

I personaly think that auto mechanics should be a required coarse in highschool. I don't mean the whole rebiuld an engine thing just some basics. It is sad that there are people out there that don't know the difference between the washer fluid tank or the cooling system recovery tank.
OK I'm done playing dad now.

Dan,

I agree with you. I think everyone should know some basics about car repair. Not only will it allow you do complete some of the work yourself, but it can also keep your from being taken advantage of by some "professionals".

I'm not a mechanic by any means. If something is beyond my scope I will take it to a shop. But even for a guy like me I can complete oil changes, coolant flushes belts, hoses, etc. It really does save you a bundle. Plus you know what kind of parts are going on your car and make sure that you get top quality fluids and not whatever they can get cheap by the barrel.

O.K., Speech over. :D
