After my run in with a telephone pole a few months back i decided to do the repair work myself. I wound up having to paint the hood, header panel, and grille. Unfortunately I couldn't get a hold of a grille when I did the hood and header panel so I put the broken one back in (it's not that bad) now I finally found a grille and am ready to paint it however the paint I bought has dried up on me (no surprise there). My question is how much paint do I need. I'd prefer to use my spray gun but if I have to use a can I will use a can. Basically all I have found are 2 oz sizes online and 1/2 pints at my local distributor. 1/2 pint is way too much and would run me 50 bucks, the 2 oz is like 20 bucks but I'm not sure if it's enough. A spray can would run something like 25 bucks but once again will that be enough? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. BTW, if it helps, it's a regular 1997 ford explorer grille being painted with vermillion red (color code E4).
