How much room is behind the sub trim panel in a 2003

I want to build a box to house a JL audio 10w3 sub but I think it may be too deep. It would have to be at least 6.5" deep where the sub mounts. If i remove all of the factory stuff is there enough room. How deep is the factory box?

Thanks thats the first pic I've seen of that panel removed in this gen explorer. I ordered my sub and amp and just hope theres enough room to build the box I want but it may just be too deep. I do have a plan b and c though. Surely something will work.
