How not to do a u-turn in the snow!

Did you guys try piling everyone on the rear bumper to get it to move? Just curious.... I always get amused when what seems like a very simple stuck takes a ton of work to move a foot!

I had three on the bumper, and one of the two guys in the Dakota on each running board. Not and inch! I'm begining to really dislike the AWD system. I need 4Lo. I could never understand why Ford didn't make it an option till 2002.

i get a kick out of reading many of the posts here. Especially the ones talking about getting stuck in the snow. there are usally a few (although not here) that chime in saying " i just went through 2 ' of snow stock and i went right through bla bla." Well i've been through enough snow (hunting way up north on unplowed off roads) to know that it just ain't gonna happen that way with anything stock.

Well it finally happened. I always hear of folks being stuck somewhere for hours or even days. This time, it was me. :thumbdwn: Me and a few buddies went snowshoeing on Sunday. The trip was going very well until it was time to get going home. As soon as I started turing around, thud, right in the ditch. Seven hours later a buddie showed up and pull me and the Dakota that got stuck trying to get me unstuck out. The center of the road is solid, the sides are powder, and its all even.

Hey,Greenbeer, glad you got your limited out ok, & how did you attach your roof rack, it looks like it's on the stock luggage rack, right? I'm planning to do mine that way but not sure they'll be strong enough,..
