My a/c is not cooloing again, 3rd summer in a row. I had the clutch cycleing switch replaced last year and it fixed it. I heard that you can bypass this switch to test if it is the problem. Can anyone tell me how this is done?

If you remove the electrical connector from the clutch cycling switch, you can jumper the two wires to complete the circuit up through that point. If you don't have a jumper wire handy, you might be able to stick a paper clip in there to make connection between the two wires.
If you jumper the two wires together and the a/c clutch engages, either the switch is bad or you're low on freon.

Also - there is one more item in this circuit that can keep your a/c clutch from engaging. There is a WOT (wide open throttle) switch between the clutch cycling switch and the clutch itself. (The WOT switch cuts out the a/c at wide open throttle.) If jumping the clutch cycling switch circuit doesn't engate the a/c clutch, try looking at this next.

Good luck.

GIMP is 100% on the money.
