How to coil springs

Hi everyone. i just did a search and didnt find anything on how to replace them. i was able to take them out easy cause like everyone else... they were broken into 5pieces. so now its a pain to put them back in. what exactly do i have to take off my truck in order to fit these back in. if someone has pics on how to that would rock. thanks.

take them to a shop and have thjem banded for replacement , safest way ,
or get a set of external spring compressors,,

Or if you are never going to do this job again, many auto part shops and tool rentals have them for free or cheap rentals.

I have a set I have owned for a decade and used only once - next time, I'll rent them.

i just removed the big nut and bolt that the lower A-ARM to the hub. and then the three bolts holding strut... take spare tire out first. then take the shock bolt out. and pry A-arm with a big bar.and the top of strut comes out first...easier with two people.
