brothers Girlfriends 00'-01' explorer engine seized. They are going to park it for a little while until they can get a engine for it. Its got a full tank of fuel. On my blazer im able to jump a clip on the relay and cause the fuel pump to run until its empty.

1.
Which relay is it,(as nothing is labeled) and which terminals do i jump?
2.
How easy is it to disconnect a fuel line (which one would be easiest?)

is it those funky disconnects that require a special tool,or those quick disconnects?

id appreciate the help. Shes broke as it is,and a full tank can help her out to put in her f150.

Personally, I feel the best way to store a vehicle for a short period of time is WITH a full tank. Toss in some fuel stabilizer as well. If you empty it, and you'll never get it all out, there's more of a chance of it turning bad.

she doesnt care right now. I told her she didnt need to run it empty, but she wants all the gas so. eh. From looking this diagram,i think i need to jump 1 and 5 to give it power?

Does this explorer have a fuel filter on the frame rail? im looking for the easiest way of getting the fuel. i could take the valve out of the fuel port at the manifold, but then i need to find some line to hook up to it,and it'll probably blow off.

Easiest? Syphon it. Tank does not have a syphon block valve.

either add something like Stabil (good for up to 2 years) or siphon as much as you can out (will probably leave 1.5-2 gals) and add an appropriate amount of Stabil (1 once for 5 gals) mix by rocking the truck and, if possible, run it for 5 mins to make sure it gets into the injectors.

Disconnect the fuel line in the front driver wheel well area. Now, a cut off chunk of garden hose will slide over the line coming from the tank, and it will be very tight. Run other end to your gas tank, assuming you are stealing your gal's gas;)

pull the fuel pump relay. Use a jumper from the battery, directly to pin 5 of the relay socket. Use a blade connector clipped to the alligator lead, and plug it in.

As stated earlier though, this will most likely induce extensive, expensive damage. Count on adding a 200.00 fuel pump to the engine swap, plus a tank flush. Clogged injectors will likely follow. This is a lot to go through to save 30 or so dollars worth of fuel.
