my compressor doesn't engage at all. I've read all over this website about "jumping" the high and low pressure switches but not quite sure what you all are talking about. are you talking about disconnecting the harness on the switch and running a wire from the terminal to the battery? please help

No, don't do that.

What we mean is, disconnect the harness, and then jump the two pins with something like a small piece of wire or a paperclip. Do this briefly. If it comes on, it could be the switch, but you also need to make sure the pressures are OK as well.

ok so I tried jumping low and high side with a paper clip. the harness not the switch. did I do it right? nothing and more nothing. turned on the ac. nothing. just realized though that it only blows on high or nothing speed control doesn't seem to work. it won't take ANY freon. please help. it's way too hot out here for my 3 year old son.

if the blower only runs in high, its most likely your blower motor resistor pack is bad....just replace it and youll be good
