Im in the market for new shocks and are really looking at the rancho 5000 the only thing is is that they come in diff sizes compressed and extended. i have like most torsion twist and shackles but im thinking of a BL 2-3 inch. what size should i get where i would be safe or how do i measure what size would be good for me. one set goes from 21 in - 36 in, 20in-34 in, and then 19-32.5. thanks for any help you can give... ive been searching with no luck.

The BL won't effect your shocks at all. So just get the stock length ones for the Explorer and you should be good.

ahhh ok well let me just ask what would getting the one step larger size than stock do for the ride/flex of the truck or would there be less flex because of the compressed size. thanks for the help

whoops sorry for posting in the wrong area i overlooked the suspension threads you can move me if its a big deal.
