Ok so I came across This Link somewhere on the forum and though it would be great to have One Touch Up especially on the drivers side. Now the link is for a Ranger so it took a little bit to figure it out.
With the help of a wiring diagram and some people on this forum I finally figured it out for the First Gen Explorer.

First thing you need is to acquire a Auto down module(ADM). You will need the module. the harness and as much of the wires as you can easily get 8-10in should be plenty. You'll also need some wire tape and line taps(or other method of tapping wires).

You will then want to remove your door panels and peal back the plastic covering to see the wires you'll need.

You'll need to find the Yellow/Red wire going to the motor and cut it leaving enough room on each side to attach a new wire. (There were 2 at my junction point and I just picked one so if one doesn't work try the other) You'll then take the Red wire on the ADM harness and attach it to the wire going to the side of the wire you just cut going towards the motor. You'll then take the White/Black wire from the ADM and attach to the side going towards the switch.

Should be something like this.

Next you'll need to find the Light Blue/Black wire I chose to tap mine near the original ADM. DON"T CUT this wire you are only going to tap into it with either Yellow/Green or Light Blue/Black(depends on what the module came out of) off the new ADM harness.
Like So.

Next you'll need to locate the Red/Yellow wire again I chose to tap mine near the original ADM. DON"T CUT this wire either. You will need to tap it with the Yellow wire from the new ADM harness.
(Forgot to take a Pic sry)

Last you'll be left with a Black wire you can tap this into any black wire you like as it's just the ground.

Once that is done turn the car on and give it a try. If it doesn't work check your taps and splices to make sure you have proper connection.

If it works correctly after pressing the up button for a second the window should go all the way up on its own.

Just wrap all the connections in wire tape and put the door panel back on and enjoy!

This is definitely added to my todo list:thumbsup:

It's great to have now I need one more for the passenger side.

Oh btw make sure you secure the module to something otherwise it'll bounce around the wires will come lose. I just taped min to the stock one with electrical tape and extended the wires running to the motor so I had room to put the door panel back on.

Yea I installed one touch down on my thunderbird super coupe a few days ago. And I love it. I'm planing on putting in one touch down on my X today. O I don't know where your getting your one touch module form but I have a ton of them laying around for sell. I have been installing them in every thing. My cars and my friends cars. I sell mine for 10 bucks each.

10 bucks shipped? 48161?

I picked mine up at Pull-A-Part for like $6 each.

It costs me probably about 5$ in gas anymore to just GET to my junkyard :(

I'm in the same boat. I only go when I need several things. I picked up the ADMs like 3 months ago when I got part of a trans line and a couple other things I needed,

Yea, I usually wont go unless I need multiple things, or find a really expensive part I need that I can get there cheap. Plus, its gotta be some of the worst roads in Michigan on the way there.

One touch

Yea 10 bucks shipped. And yes they are cheap at the yard but if some one doesn't live by an junk yard that another thing. So if you look at it as 10 bucks shipped to your door that's not bad.

Man I would love to do that for autto up and down for all the switches on the drivers side.

The other thing I think would be awesome would be to somehow have the a vent button like for the rear window of a sportt trac that immediately cracks all the windows an inch or so.

I never knew such a thing existed...I would love to have it too!

Idt there is such a thing. But it would be sweet. I think the module for a st's rear window is built into the switch. If it was possible though, it would be awesome, and at the top of my to do list.

What vehicles are the modules in? I've heard older Taurus models but don't know specifics.

Sounds like your a Pull-A-Part addict like me ( I feel like a kid in a candy store when I go there).

Not sure exactly what years. I just look at everything in the Ford section that has power windows. If it says Auto on the driver front switch it has the module in the front door panel.

So have you found any gems (not the module....lol) at the one here?

I found leather explorer seats with console, autodimming mirrors w/ autolamps, new rear mazda bumper (I think looks nicer than stock ranger one), 2 power doors, rear glass with sliding window. Explorer EATC and all the sensors and blend door actuator.

Such a funny place because the most random things get ganked off the vehicles. I've noticed if you don't get there in time every console with a nice lid is gone and all the fog light indicator bulbs are gone. Every time I try to find a complete 5.0 they heads are already gone.

I picked up a autodimming mirror thats my favorite find so far... besides the 2nd Gen nerf bars I stupidly didn't pick up last time I was out there.
I might be headed out there this Monday looking for a bucket seat to use for a desk chair.

Edit: I hear you bout the consoles I was looking for a full length one to replace my shorty one and all of them were in terrible condition.

The way I got my seats and console was through their email notifications (note that there is usually 2 days of delay before you get this). I got it at 6 am and I was there 8 am. I couldn't believe that they had an explorer with a perfect console (still had ripped lid) and perfect seat in my interior color. The only problem I had was that the drivers seat was all the way down and of course I didn't have power to have it lift up. I only had sockets and no open end wrenches. I called my buddy that usually goes with me to see if he could get me one. I found out he was two rows over.....lol and the only combination wrench he had was 10mm (perfect!) talk about luck.

Never knew that had email notifications I'm gonn have to look into that... Oh and on the seats you can use a drill battery to power them to move the seats so you can get the bolts. There's a vid of Joe Dirt from this forum showing how it's done.

I always take a set of open ended wrenches and sockets... basically everything I think I might need cause you never know what you'll find there.
